Mission

University pastoral center of St. John Freinademetz is the place, which wants to assist students in their endeavor to live life in fullness (compare Jn 10,10)

We, who are meeting there,

  • we are persuaded, that the only one source of life in fullness is Christ. Therefore, we try to get to know his person and his teaching;
  • we are persuaded, that Christ is inviting us to the develop all dimensions of our personality. It is not only spiritual dimensions, but intellectual, physical, cultural, social, esthetical and artistic as well. However, the spiritual dimension is the most important, whereas it is the soul of all others;
  • we are persuaded, that all things, which God has created, can serve us for good, if we use them deliberately, reasonably and in accordance with God’s principles;
  • we are persuaded, that our commitment is to investigate our own abilities, personal gifts and talents and these develop to the maximum possible extent according to the principles of gospel;
  • we are persuaded, that our mission is to build relationships: with God, with ourselves, with other people as well as with all God’s creation;
  • we are trying to create a community, friendships and search for new ways how to get out of our shell and open to those who are outside;
  • we are aware, that although we have a lot of energy and goodwill in our heart, we are not able to accomplish everything only with our strengths. We also need God´s help for our development. Thus we are open to make it possible to the maximum extent. Since most of God’s help comes to us through the Church, we want to create the unity with it;
